Fontana Village Vacation, Day 8

6/16/17

Today we all went home. As is traditional, we left early and then drove to Franklin, NC to eat breakfast at Shoney’s. We live in different towns in Georgia, but we all pass through Franklin on the way home, and so it is a good place to have one more meal together before we go our separate ways.

Fontana Village may not be for everybody, but if you live in the southeastern United States and enjoy mountain vacations, then I highly recommend it. If you are curious and think you might want to try it but want more information, then you can find many videos on YouTube. Here is one of my favorites.

My cat was happy to see me. My brother-in-law’s uncle fed her while I was gone. She was much happier roaming and hunting outside at home than she would have been boarded at a vet clinic.
